Privacy policy
We collect as little as we can, use it only for your order, and never sell it.

What we collect
Only what we need to make your signs:
Your name, email and phone number, and your event date, venue and guest count.
The wording on your signs, including names on seating charts, and any photos or files you send us.
Payment records: amount, date and method. Card payments are handled by Stripe or Square — we never see or store your full card number.

How we use it
To quote, design, produce and deliver your order, to send proofs and reminders about your order, and to keep the business and tax records the law requires.
We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't add you to a mailing list. We'll only email you about your order.

Who we share it with
Only the services that run the business, and only what each one needs:
Google Workspace (email), Vercel (website hosting) and Neon (our order database).
Stripe or Square, when you pay by card.
Print and production partners, who receive the print files for your signs.
Some of these companies store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws.

Cookies
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't run analytics that follow you around the web.
The order builder remembers the pieces you've added in your own browser so you don't lose them between pages. It never leaves your device until you send the form.

Photos of your day
We'll never post photos of your signs or your event without asking you first, and we always blur or crop guest names from seating charts.

How long we keep it
Order and payment records are kept for six years, as the Canada Revenue Agency requires. Design files are kept for one year in case you'd like a reprint, then deleted. Inquiries that don't become orders are deleted after one year.

Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted (except records we must keep for tax purposes). Email hello@scriptandboard.ca and we'll respond within 30 days.
If you're not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
